What we believe in
Church Without Walls Ministries
At Church Without Walls Ministries, our faith is not defined by human traditions, but firmly anchored in the timeless and unchanging truths of the Holy Scriptures. As a non-denominational body of believers, we stand united on the foundational doctrines of the Christian faith, emphasizing the absolute sovereignty of God in all things. We believe that the gospel is not meant to be contained within physical walls, but lived out actively to transform hearts, families, and our community.

1. The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible—comprising the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments—is the fully inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. Written by human authors under the direct guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Scriptures stand as the supreme, final, and absolute authority in all matters of faith, doctrine, conduct, and godly living. There are no other writings uniquely inspired by God; the Bible is sufficient for equipping believers to live a life pleasing to Him.
2. The Triune God (The Trinity)
We believe in one eternal, infinite, and uncreated God, the Creator, Sustainer, and Sovereign Ruler of all things visible and invisible. He has unchangeably ordained whatsoever comes to pass according to the counsel of His own perfect will, yet in such a way that He is not the author of sin. He exists eternally in a perfect unity of three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal in power, glory, majesty, and essence, yet distinct in their roles and ministries within the divine plan of redemption.
3. God the Father
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of humanity, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He sovereignly saves from sin and spiritual death all whom He calls to Himself through faith in Jesus Christ.
4. Jesus Christ, the Son
We believe in the total deity and complete humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son and the Mediator of God's covenant. We affirm:
-
His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth.
-
His absolutely sinless life and His perfect obedience to the Father's will.
-
His divine miracles, teaching, and authority.
-
His substitutionary and atoning death on the cross, where He shed His blood to pay the full penalty for sin and perfectly secured redemption for His people.
-
His literal, bodily resurrection from the dead on the third day, breaking the power of sin and death.
-
His physical ascension into heaven, where He now sits exalted at the right hand of the Father, serving as our High Priest, Advocate, and Intercessor.
-
His promised, visible, and personal return to earth in power and glory to judge the living and the dead and to establish His eternal kingdom.
5. The Holy Spirit
We believe in the absolute deity and personality of the Holy Spirit. He is sent from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. We believe the Holy Spirit:
-
Supernaturally regenerates dead hearts, granting the gifts of saving faith and true repentance, and seals and adopts believers into the family of God.
-
Indwells every true believer, providing the divine, transforming power to resist sin, live a holy life, and grow into Christ-like maturity.
-
Equips and empowers God's children with spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church, for encouraging the body, and for executing effective ministry in the world.
6. Humanity, Sin, and the Fall
We believe that humanity (both male and female) was uniquely created in the image and likeness of God, designed to enjoy perfect fellowship with Him and to exercise stewardship over creation. However, through voluntary disobedience (the Fall), humanity sinned and fell from grace. As a result, all human beings are born with a corrupted sinful nature, are spiritually dead and alienated from God, and are completely unable to save themselves or regain right standing with God through their own good works, choices, or morals.
7. Salvation by Grace Through Faith (Sola Gratia)
We believe that salvation is entirely a free gift of God’s sovereign grace, initiated by Him before the foundation of the world and independent of human merit, ritual, or good deeds.
-
The Way of Salvation: It is received solely through personal repentance and faith in the person and finished, substitutionary work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
-
Justification: By faith alone (Sola Fide), the perfect righteousness of Christ is imputed (credited) to the believer, granting complete forgiveness of sins and right standing before God.
-
Assurance & Perseverance: Every believer who has been truly regenerated by the Holy Spirit is securely held by God’s unchangeable power. They can have full assurance of their eternal destiny and will be preserved by God to persevere in faith until the end.
8. The Church and the Great Commission
We believe that the true Church is a spiritual body composed of all individuals who have been redeemed by faith in Jesus Christ, across all generations and nations. Christ alone is the head of the Church.
-
The Local Church: We believe the local church is a visible, covenant expression of this universal body—a gathering of believers committed to worship, sound biblical teaching, fellowship, prayer, and mutual accountability.
-
Our Mandate ("Without Walls"): We believe the Church is called to actively step outside its physical structures to engage and transform the surrounding culture. We are commanded by Christ to fulfill the Great Commission: making disciples, baptizing believers, and being a tangible source of spiritual, social, and economic restoration to our immediate neighborhood.
9. The Ordinances (Baptism & Communion)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two primary ordinances to the local church to be observed until His return, serving as visible signs of God's grace:
-
Believer’s Baptism: We practice water baptism (typically by immersion) for those who have consciously professed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It serves as a public declaration of a believer's faith, symbolizing their washing away of sins and their personal identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
-
The Lord’s Supper (Communion): We observe the sharing of the bread and the cup as a holy remembrance of Christ's broken body and shed blood. Rejecting both a purely symbolic memorial view and any physical transformation of the elements, we believe that as believers receive Communion in faith, they are uniquely nourished and spiritually fed by the real, spiritual presence of Christ through the active power of the Holy Spirit.
10. The Resurrection and Eternal Destiny
We believe in the physical resurrection of all people. Those who have trusted in Jesus Christ will be raised to eternal reward and endless, joyful fellowship with God in a new heaven and a new earth, where they will enjoy and glorify Him forever. Those who have rejected God’s free gift of salvation in Christ will be raised to final judgment and face eternal, conscious separation from the presence of God.
